Product testing team maintains the holistic picture of various features of the product that are evolving across releases. As product features are enhanced, product test cases are enhanced to cover complete set of scenarios. Testing team is involved from the requirements phase. Requirements are analyzed to identify any contradicting requirements or requirement gaps before they are implemented. This allows for better definition of product features. Parallel to the implementation of features, testing team independently identifies all the possible scenarios of the new product features to be tested in concert with all the existing features of the product. After the implementation is delivered, entire set of tests are executed to ensure that all product features are fully functional and no regressions have been caused by the newly added features. Product testing is carried out by devising several typical applications of the product that cover various envisioned scenarios.
